Mondo is the debut studio album by Electric Guest, a Los Angeles–based indie pop band. It was released on April 24, 2012, by Downtown Records and Across the Universe. The album was developed from 2009 to 2011 with encouragement from producer Danger Mouse.

Musically, Mondo blends indie rock, indie pop, electropop, and psychedelic pop, drawing on synth-pop, R&B, Motown-style soul, and California slacker vibes. The band, led by Asa Taccone with his roommate Michael Compton, refined the songs over several years before finishing the album.

The singles include This Head I Hold (released January 4, 2012) and Troubleman (2012). This Head I Hold was featured on Dancing with the Stars and in a Crate & Barrel ad, while the track Awake appears on the 2012 Forza Horizon soundtrack.

Critical reception was mixed. The New York Times described it as recession-era pop with wistful ballads focused on careers and ethics, while Rolling Stone praised its “L.A. slacker soul” with catchy, neon-tinged songs and musical wit. PopMatters viewed it as both an introduction to a promising production talent and a solid release, and Pitchfork criticized it as a cautionary tale of a hit record that didn’t deliver enough hits.
