Miko Aarne Virtanen (born 29 January 1999) is a Finnish footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Elgin City. He was born in Tampere, Finland, and is 1.88 metres tall. He started with TPV in Tampere, moved to England at 13 after Everton showed promise during an international youth tournament, and joined Aberdeen in 2017 after a successful trial. In his senior career he spent time on loan at Arbroath (debut on 28 September 2019) before moving to Hamilton Academical in 2021. He left Hamilton in January 2023 and later played for Cove Rangers and Alloa Athletic. In May 2025 he signed for Elgin City on a one-year deal with an option to extend. Internationally, Virtanen has represented Finland at U19 and U21 levels.
