Mike Tyson is an American former World Heavyweight boxing champion. He is known as one of the most outrageous characters in modern sports and has appeared in many popular media, often in cameos or as a subject of parody.

In 2015, Martin Scorsese announced a film about Tyson’s life with Jamie Foxx set to star. By 2019 there was no update, though Foxx said it was still in development.

Tyson has had a long relationship with wrestling entertainment. He appeared at WrestleMania XIV on March 29, 1998, as a special outside enforcer for the match between Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin. He initially seemed aligned with Michaels and the DX group after a brawl with Austin on Raw on January 19, 1998, but he eventually turned on DX, counted the pin for Austin, and delivered a knockout punch to Michaels. He was paid about $3 million for WrestleMania XIV.

Tyson appeared on WWE Monday Night Raw as the guest host on January 11, 2010, and later teamed with Chris Jericho against DX. He started strong but revealed a DX T-shirt under his shirt, knocked out Jericho, and allowed Michaels to pin Jericho, giving DX the win.

On April 2, 2012, Tyson was inducted into the Celebrity Wing of the WWE Hall of Fame in Miami, introduced by Shawn Michaels and Triple H.

In 2016, Tyson starred in the documentary Nine Legends, where he discussed his time with WWE.
