Michael Hutchinson (ice hockey)
Michael Edward Hutchinson (born March 2, 1990) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who plays for SaiPa in Finland’s Liiga. He’s 6 ft 3 in tall, weighs 202 lb, and catches right. He was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the third round, 77th overall, in 2008.
Hutchinson grew up in Barrie, Ontario, and played junior hockey with the Barrie Colts and then the London Knights. He turned pro in 2010 and spent time in the Bruins’ system before making his NHL debut with the Winnipeg Jets in 2014. He earned his first NHL win with the Jets on April 10, 2014.

- Vegas Golden Knights
- Columbus Blue Jackets
- Detroit Red Wings
Highlights include his 2020 playoff run with Colorado, where he won his first two playoff starts while facing elimination.
In 2023 he joined the Detroit organization again, later signing a two-way deal with the Red Wings. He then pursued opportunities in North America before moving to Europe. As of November 11, 2024, Hutchinson signed with SaiPa for the 2024–25 season.
