Maharashtra Swaraj Party (MSP) is a regional political party in Maharashtra, formed in September 2014 and based in Mumbai. It represents the East Indian Christian community of Mumbai and the Greater Bombay Metropolitan Area in the Konkan division. The party’s name comes from the slogan “Swaraj is my birthright,” popularized by Joseph Baptista, a Bombay East Indian freedom fighter and Mumbai’s first mayor of Indian origin, who was an associate of Lokmanya Tilak.

MSP was started with the help of local NGOs such as Watchdog Foundation, Mobai Gaothan Panchayat, Bombay East Indian Association, Vakola Advanced Locality Management, Kalina Civic Forum and Kolovery Welfare Association. The party aims to expand to the rest of Maharashtra.

In the 13th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election, MSP fielded five candidates from Mumbai suburbs. Because MSP was not registered as a political party, those candidates ran as independents.
