Lynch Glacier
Lynch Glacier is an alpine glacier located north and northwest of Mount Daniel in Washington, inside the Alpine Lakes Wilderness of Snoqualmie National Forest. It is about 0.6 miles (0.97 km) long and up to 0.8 miles (1.29 km) wide, descending from roughly 7,800 feet (2,400 m) to 6,400 feet (2,000 m). The glacier ends in a proglacial lake called Pea Soup Lake. An arête divides the ice into eastern and western lobes, with the western lobe larger. In the late 1970s, the glacier extended into Pea Soup Lake, but photos show it has since retreated and now sits above the lake. Lynch Glacier is retreating.
