Luther Irvin "Rep" Replogle (March 2, 1902 – July 3, 1981) was an American businessman, diplomat, and philanthropist. Born in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, his family moved to Altoona when he was five. He studied at the U.S. Naval Academy for about two and a half years starting in 1920. In 1930 he founded Replogle Globes, which became the world’s largest globe maker in the mid-20th century. He sold the company in 1959 but stayed on as President and Chief Operating Officer. From 1969 to 1972, he served as the U.S. Ambassador to Iceland. He died in Chicago, Illinois, in 1981.
