Loy Young
Loy Wayne Young (January 21, 1923 – March 25, 2015) was an American college coach who led both football and basketball programs. He was the fifth head football coach at Dickinson State College (now Dickinson State University) in Dickinson, North Dakota, for one season in 1950, finishing with a 5–2–1 record. He also served as the head basketball coach at Chadron State College from 1951 to 1956, with an 84–37 mark. Born in Sumner, Iowa, he attended Minnesota State University. He passed away in Mankato, Minnesota, at age 92.
