List of ambassadors of the Kingdom of England to France
The ambassador of the Kingdom of England to France was England’s top diplomat in France. The job existed at least from 1505, with Charles Somerset, 1st Earl of Worcester, being the first ambassador. The position was not always filled—there were times when war between England and France meant there was no ambassador.
In 1707, the Kingdom of England became part of the Kingdom of Great Britain. After that, ambassadors to France were appointed by Great Britain, not England. For ambassadors after 1707, see the list of ambassadors of Great Britain to France.
