USM Alger is an Algerian football club from Algiers. They played their first match in 1937 and won their first trophy in 1963, becoming the first Algerian champions after independence. They are one of Algeria’s most successful clubs, with 7 Ligue Professionnelle 1 titles, 8 Algerian Cup wins, and 2 Algerian Super Cups.

Internationally, USM Alger has won the UAFA Club Championship once (in 2013). They also reached the 2015 CAF Champions League final but were defeated by TP Mazembe.
