Lidl Österreich GmbH is the Austrian arm of Lidl, part of the Schwarz Group. Based in Salzburg, it has been serving Austria since 1998. Lidl Austria offers a core grocery range with more than 2,000 products, many sourced locally in Austria, including fresh and packaged foods. The company is a GmbH (a limited liability company) and runs three logistics centers in Austria.

In addition to groceries, Lidl Austria provides several services: Lidl Plus (a digital discount card), Lidl Connect (a mobile network), and Lidl Energie (electricity and gas). It has also expanded into Lidl Reisen (travel) and Lidl Fotos (photo services). For the 2020/21 period, Lidl Austria reported revenue of €1.47 billion and, in 2021, about 5,500 employees.
