Lepidophyma lowei, also known as Lowe's tropical night lizard or la lagartija nocturna de Lowe, is a small lizard in the Xantusiidae family. It is native to Mexico and is known only from San Bartolomé Zoogocho in the Sierra Madre de Oaxaca, Oaxaca, at about 2,200 meters above sea level. It lives in forests. It gives birth to live young, with a litter of four. The species was named after American herpetologist Charles Herbert Lowe and was described in 1997 by Bezy and Camarillo. Its conservation status is Data Deficient (IUCN 3.1).
