Kamo Station (Niigata)
Kamo Station (加茂駅, Kamo-eki) is a JR East railway station in Kamo city, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. It is on the Shin'etsu Main Line and is 103.8 kilometers from Naoetsu Station, the line’s starting point. The station has two ground-level side platforms serving two tracks, connected by an underground passage. It has a staffed ticket office called Midori no Madoguchi.
Kamo Station opened on November 20, 1897. The private Kanbara Railway ran from Kamo to Gosen from 1930 to 1985. After the privatization of JNR on April 1, 1987, control passed to JR East. In fiscal year 2017, the station was used by an average of 2,837 boarding passengers daily.
