Hanna, Indiana
Hanna is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Hanna Township, LaPorte County, Indiana. It sits in southern LaPorte County in the western part of Hanna Township, along U.S. Route 30. The area covers about 0.98 square miles (2.53 square kilometers), all land, and sits at about 709 feet above sea level. The population was 450 in 2020 (463 in 2010). Hanna was laid out in 1858 and named after an Indiana judge named Hanna. The ZIP code is 46340. The town is in the Eastern Time Zone (UTC-5 standard time, UTC-4 daylight time). U.S. Route 30 connects Hanna to Valparaiso, 16 miles to the west, and Plymouth, 25 miles to the east. The South Central Community School Corporation serves Hanna, and there is a branch of the La Porte County Public Library in the community.
