KNHL
KNHL is a television station licensed to Hastings, Nebraska, broadcasting on channel 5. It is affiliated with The CW Nebraska and operates as a satellite of KCWH-LD in Lincoln, both owned by Gray Media. KNHL’s history goes back to 1956 when it signed on as KHAS-TV, the NBC affiliate for the western Lincoln–Hastings–Kearney market. It changed ownership several times and became part of Hoak Media before Gray acquired it. In 2014, Gray shut KHAS down to reorganize NBC programming, moved NBC content to other stations, and changed the call letters to KNHL. The station briefly aired SonLife (2015–2019). Gray later bought KNHL back and, in 2019, completed the sale, returning KNHL to air as a satellite of KSNB-TV and KCWH-LD with NBC/CW+ carried on its digital subchannels. KNHL ended its analog broadcasts on December 1, 2008; its digital signal uses VHF channel 5.
