Jimmy Skinner (American football)
Jimmy Skinner (born May 13, 1984) is an American football coach and former quarterback. He played college football at Marshall University from 2002 to 2006 and spent one season with the Huntington Heroes in the American Indoor Football Association in 2007. Born in Chillicothe, Ohio, Skinner is 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighed about 190 pounds as a player. He attended Chillicothe High School, where he played quarterback and earned a basketball letter. A four-year honor roll student, he was twice named first-team all-district in football.
At Marshall, Skinner redshirted in 2002 and appeared in games in 2004–2006, while studying sports management and marketing and participating in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. After his playing career, he moved to Richmond, Kentucky, where he lives with his family and became a football coach at Frederick Douglass High School. In 2022, his team won the Kentucky 5A State Championship. He has a sister named Emily, and his parents are Jim and Teresa Skinner.
