Jenipapo River
Jenipapo River is a river in Paraíba state in northeastern Brazil. It flows from east to west toward the Atlantic Ocean. The area around the river was explored by Sir Richard Francis Burton. The Battle of Jenipapo, part of Brazil’s War of Independence, was fought near the river in 1823.
