Isser (also spelled Issers) is a town and commune in Boumerdès Province, Algeria. It sits on the south bank of the Isser River, near the center of the Isser coastal plain, which runs from Thenia to Naciria. The population was 27,990 at the 1998 census and 32,580 in the latest census. Isser is served by the RN 12 highway, which connects Si-Mustapha to the west and Bordj Menaïel to the east, and by the RN 68, which links Djinet to the north with Chabet el Ameur to the south. The town is in the UTC+1 time zone.
