Haloragis
Haloragis is a genus of flowering plants in the Haloragaceae family. Most species are native to the southern hemisphere and they range from annual or perennial herbs to small shrubs, often growing in wetlands. The genus contains about 28–29 species; about 23 are endemic to Australia, while the others occur in South Pacific islands such as New Zealand, New Caledonia, Tuvalu, the Cook Islands, Rapa Nui and the Juan Fernández Islands. Some species are commonly called seaberry, and ornamental cultivars like 'Wanganui Bronze' and 'Wellington Bronze' are grown for decoration. The name Haloragis comes from Greek words meaning sea and grape-berry, referring to the early beach-dwelling species with globular fruit.
