Grassy Creek Historic District
Grassy Creek Historic District is a national historic district near Grassy Creek in Ashe County, North Carolina. It covers about 725 acres and includes 38 contributing buildings and 27 contributing structures in the small farming community. Many of the buildings are farmhouses and related outbuildings tied to the Greer family, early settlers of Grassy Creek. The oldest building is the Aquilla Greer House, built around 1812–1817. The district also contains the Grassy Creek Methodist Church, built in 1904. It features a mix of architectural styles from different periods and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 12, 1976.
