Galachipa is a town in southern Bangladesh, located in Barisal Division, Patuakhali District, and serving as the main town of Galachipa Upazila. It is the third largest town in the district and the largest urban center in the upazila. The town covers about 11.92 square kilometers and has around 25,900 residents living in about 6,100 households, with a population density of roughly 2,174 people per square kilometer. It sits about 8.9 meters above sea level.

Galachipa Municipality, created in 1998, provides local services and is made up of 9 wards and 9 mahallas. It governs about 3.39 square kilometers of the town, and the current mayor is Ahsanul Haque Tuhin. The town is about 72.7 kilometers from Barisal city and 31.7 kilometers from the district town Patuakhali. The nearest airports are Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka and Patuakhali Airport. The literacy rate in Galachipa is around 70%.
