Frigoglass
Frigoglass makes commercial refrigeration equipment and is West Africa’s leading glass producer. It operates in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, with production hubs in Romania, Russia, Greece, India, Indonesia, South Africa and Nigeria, and sales offices in Hungary, Germany, Poland, Norway, Turkey and Kenya. Its customers include Coca-Cola bottlers, major brewers (Heineken, SABMiller, Carlsberg, AB InBev, Efes), Pepsi, Nestlé and Danone. In glass, Frigoglass runs two plants with three furnaces and has facilities for plastic crates and metal crown production in Nigeria.
Frigoglass is listed on the Athens Stock Exchange under FRIGO. About 48.6% of its stock is owned by Truad Verwaltungs AG. The chairman is Haralambos (Harry) G. David.
Financials for 2020: revenue €333.23 million; operating income €20.94 million; net loss €8.75 million; total assets €354.31 million; total equity negative €82.19 million. The company had 4,782 employees in 2021.
