Franco Giongo (27 July 1891 – 28 December 1981) was an Italian sprinter from Bologna who competed for Italy in track and field. He took part in the 1912 Summer Olympics, reaching the semi-finals in the 100 metres and the 200 metres but not advancing to the finals. He also ran the 400 metres, eliminated in the first round. He was a member of Athletic Club Torino. His personal bests were 100 m in 10.8 seconds (1923), 200 m in 21.7 seconds (1914), and 400 m in 50.4 seconds (1914). He won 11 Italian national titles in sprint events. His granddaughter is Maria Cristina Giongo, a journalist and writer. Giongo died in Bologna at the age of 90.
