Fernando Alejandro Ponce (born 23 July 1992) is an Argentine football defender who plays for Atlético de Rafaela. He can operate as a left-back or centre-back. Born in Balcarce, Buenos Aires, Ponce began at El Riojano and joined Boca Juniors Balcarce at 13, making his senior debut in the Liga Balcarceña and earning the season’s revelation award. He later joined Banfield’s youth system and was promoted to the first team in 2011, but he was not retained by the coach. After stints with Racing de Balcarce, Ponce moved to Europe in 2014 to play for Lynx FC in Gibraltar. He returned to Argentina in 2015 to sign with Alvarado, and in 2017 he played for Defensores de Belgrano VR and Sportivo Belgrano. In 2018 he rejoined Alvarado and helped them gain promotion to the Primera B Nacional. In 2021 he moved to Chile to play for Cobresal, with loans to Deportes Temuco and Fernández Vial. He went back to Argentina in 2023 with Sarmiento de Resistencia, then had spells with Douglas Haig in 2024 and Colegiales in 2025 before joining Atlético de Rafaela in 2025.
