Faisal Amin Abu-Rass (born December 31, 1957) is a Yemeni diplomat and politician. He served as Yemen’s ambassador to Lebanon and Cyprus from January 13, 2009, to March 21, 2011, and he resigned during the 2011 Yemeni uprising, the first ambassador to quit over the protests. Earlier, he was a member of Yemen’s General People’s Congress and represented Al-Jawf Governorate in parliament; he resigned from that post in 2005 amid corruption allegations. After the Houthi takeover, he became the undersecretary for foreign affairs and has met with the UN envoy for Yemen, Martin Griffiths. He comes from al-Houri in Ibb Governorate, and his brother Sadeq Amin Abu Rass is a leading figure in the General People’s Congress.
