Emily Fischnaller
Emily Carolyn Fischnaller (born March 16, 1993) is an American luger who competes in women’s singles. She was born in Portland, Maine, and is the sister of fellow luger Megan Sweeney. In 2009 she became the Junior World Luge Champion, winning bronze at the Junior World Cup in Winterberg and gold at Park City. She earned her first World Cup gold medal on November 26, 2017, in a sprint race at Winterberg. She was part of the 2018 U.S. Olympic Team. At her first Olympics in PyeongChang, she crashed on the final run and injured her neck and back. Nine months later she returned to win bronze at a World Cup race in Whistler. In May 2025 she married Italian luger Dominik Fischnaller and now competes as Emily Fischnaller.
