Anne Doreen Akkerman AM is an Australian cancer support worker. She is known for creating information and support services for people with cancer and for palliative care. She was the Director of Cancer Information and Support Services at Cancer Council Victoria from 1990 to 2010. She has contributed to research about cancer support services. In 2007, she was made a Member of the Order of Australia for her work in cancer and palliative care information and for educating health professionals, especially breast care nurses. In 2010, she was added to the Victorian Honour Roll of Women.
