Disko (song)
Disko is a 2022 Slovene pop song by Last Pizza Slice (LPS). It represented Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin after winning EMA 2022, Slovenia’s national selection.
The song was first released on 26 November 2021 with EMA 2022 entries, and it was released on streaming platforms on 1 April 2022. An animated music video came out on 11 April 2022, featuring a man dumped by his girlfriend at a nightclub; the story ends with a hopeful twist. The video was inspired by lead singer Filip Vidušin’s real-life experience.
During EMA Freš 2022 in December 2021, LPS performed “Disko” and was later chosen as one of four entries for EMA 2022. In the second EMA semi-final on 12 February 2022, the song qualified for the EMA grand final, which it won, earning Slovenia a spot in Eurovision.
For Eurovision, Slovenia performed in the first semi-final on 10 May 2022 but did not advance to the final, finishing last in the semi-final with 15 points.
