Diary of Korean-Japanese War
Diary of Korean-Japanese War is a 1978 South Korean war drama film directed by Jang Il-ho. The story is based on Admiral Yi Sun-sin’s diary, Nanjung Ilgi, and follows his life during Korea’s Imjin War against Japan from 1592 to 1598. The film is in Korean (Korean title 난중일기, Nanjung Ilgi). It won Best Film at the Grand Bell Awards. It was produced by Han Gap-jin, with cinematography by Seo Jeong-min and editing by Ree Kyoung-ja. Release date was January 21, 1978, distributed by Han Jin Enterprises Co., Ltd.
