Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2007 (Senate Bill 1237) was a proposed U.S. law. It was requested by Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and introduced in the Senate by Senator Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey. The bill would have allowed the Attorney General to block a person from buying guns if they were identified by the administration as a dangerous terrorist. Critics, especially gun-rights supporters, argued that the criteria for adding names to terror lists like the No Fly List were unclear and could be unfair or uncertain.
