David Martin Baker
David Martin Baker (October 11, 1923 – April 27, 2010) was a Republican lawyer, judge, and politician from West Virginia. He served in the West Virginia House of Delegates representing Cabell County in 1953 and again from 1957 to 1958, with defeats in 1954 and 1958. He lived in Huntington, Cabell County. Baker served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. He worked as a lawyer and later served as a judge on the West Virginia Court of Claims from 1990 to 2005. In 2004 he was named a fellow of the West Virginia Bar Foundation and he was president of the Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association. He was a member of the American Legion, the Elks, and Phi Delta Phi, and was one of the few Jewish members to serve in the West Virginia Legislature. He also served as vice-chair of the West Virginia Republican Party in 1967.
