Dance Gavin Dance is an American post-hardcore band from Sacramento, formed in 2005. Their discography includes 11 studio albums, 3 live albums, 1 EP, 46 singles, 26 music videos, 1 remastered album, and 10 instrumental albums.

They self-released their debut EP, Whatever I Say Is Royal Ocean, in 2005, which was reissued in 2006 after signing with Rise Records. The first full album, Downtown Battle Mountain, came out May 15, 2007, on Rise Records. The band is known for frequent lineup changes: after the first album, Sean O’Sullivan left and was replaced by Zachary Garren; Jonny Craig left and Kurt Travis joined for the second album. Jon Mess and Eric Lodge left before Happiness (2009), with Will Swan performing unclean vocals on that release. In 2010 they planned one final album with the original lineup, but Downtown Battle Mountain II arrived on March 8, 2011, and the group decided not to disband.

Craig left again in 2012, and Tilian Pearson joined, yielding Acceptance Speech (2013). This was followed by Instant Gratification (2015), Mothership (2016), Artificial Selection (2018), Afterburner (2020), and Jackpot Juicer (2022). Beginning in May 2019, they started releasing instrumental versions of their studio albums, with digital releases on May 31, 2019; December 25, 2021; and December 30, 2022.
