Community of position
A community of position is a social group formed around a person’s life stage or status, rather than shared activities. It differs from a community of practice, which centers on working together on common tasks. These communities focus on personal roles and experiences, such as being a teenager, a college student, newly married, or a parent. They help people connect with others going through the same phase of life.
