Comarth is an electric vehicle company from San José de la Vega, Murcia, Spain. It was founded in 1999 by José Antonio Martínez Marín. The company started by making two sports cars with Ford engines, but soon focused on electric vehicles. It now produces small electric urban cars, maintenance vehicles, and golf carts, and since 2014 also makes electric buses (T-Bus) and trucks (T-Trucks) with different battery options. Ownership is split among the founder (13%), French investor Demeter Partners (49%), and Mondragón Corporation (38%) since November 2013. Comarth operates mainly in Spain, France and Norway and has a global distributor network. Its range includes electric urban vehicles, buses, and trucks. In 2003, Comarth entered the Dakar Rally with a modified S1 driven by Antonio Ramos Martínez.
