Cobbs Creek (Hyco Creek tributary)
Cobbs Creek is a small stream in North Carolina that flows into Hyco Creek inside Hyco Lake. It is about 7.1 miles long and rises in a pond about 0.5 miles southeast of Leasburg, NC, at roughly 585 feet above sea level. It travels north and northeast to meet Hyco Creek about 3 miles southeast of Semora, NC, at about 410 feet elevation.
Cobbs Creek drains about 11.8 square miles of land. The area receives around 46 inches of rainfall each year and is about 70% forested. The creek briefly crosses Caswell County before returning to Person County. Bridges over Cobbs Creek include Old Durham Road, US 158, and NC 57. On average, the creek discharges about 14.3 cubic feet per second into Hyco Creek.
