Charlottenborg is a manor house in Motala, Sweden, by the Motala ström river. It was built in the mid-1600s by Count Ludvig Wierich Lewenhaupt and named after his wife, Charlotte von Hohenlohe-Neuenstein. The house later served as a residence for General Adam Ludwig Lewenhaupt and engineer Daniel Fraser. The original 17th‑century building is shown in an engraving by Erik Dahlberg, but it was given a more modern look in the 18th century. Since 1959, Motala Municipality has owned Charlottenborg, and today it houses Motala Museum. The museum focuses on local history and also displays art from the 17th to the 20th century, including works by Bruno Liljefors and Johan Krouthén.
