Central Committee of the Baltic Fleet
Central Committee of the Baltic Fleet (Tsentrobalt) was a body that coordinated sailors' committees of the Russian Baltic Fleet. It was created May 11–13, 1917 (April 28–30 Old Style) after the February Revolution. Its first chairman was Pavel Dybenko. In December 1917, the office of the Fleet Commander-in-Chief and his staff were abolished, and Tsentrobalt took full control of the Fleet. In January 1918, the fifth convocation of Tsentrobalt was dominated by anarchists. It was abolished on February 13, 1918 (January 31 Old Style) and replaced by the Baltic Fleet Council of Commissars.
