Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust
Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust provided mental health care, help for substance misuse, and care for people with learning disabilities in parts of London. It ran more than 20 sites, with St Pancras Hospital as its main site and headquarters. It became the first Care Trust to become an NHS Foundation Trust in 2008.
Richard Arthur was the first chair after the change; he retired in 2013 and was replaced by Leisha Fullick, former chief executive of Islington Council. The trust introduced the Carenotes electronic patient record system in 2015 and was named as one of the top 100 NHS trusts to work for by Health Service Journal that year. In 2022 it announced its first integrated community mental health facility on Lowther Road, built by Kier Group in a £17 million project. On 1 November 2024 the Trust merged with Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust to form North London NHS Foundation Trust.
