Calvin Ira Kephart (1883–1969) was an American lawyer, law professor, genealogist, historian, heraldry expert, and amateur ethnologist. He worked as a lawyer and briefly for the Interstate Commerce Commission, then taught law at George Washington University for twelve years. Kephart earned six degrees in law, history, and sciences. He was president of the National Genealogical Society in 1928–1930 and again in 1938–1940, and he helped found the Maryland State Poetry Society. He specialized in genealogy and heraldry and wrote several genealogical pamphlets. He is best remembered for the 566-page book Races of Mankind: Their Origin and Migration.
