Blah Blah Blah (TV series)
Blah Blah Blah was an Australian comedy TV show that aired in 1988 on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. It starred Andrew Denton and helped launch the careers of several Australian performers, including Anthony Ackroyd, Flacco, and Roy & HG. Because it was broadcast late at night, the show could include more adult humor than many other programs of the time. Regular segments included In Bed Tonight with James Scanlon and live rock performances. A running joke had Denton as the “work experience kid” waiting for the real star to arrive, a nod to Waiting for Godot; in the end the star only shows up five minutes before the final episode ends. The program also featured some controversial live acts, such as Ignatius Jones performing in a suit made entirely of meat, and in November 1988 Lubricated Goat performing naked.
