Banwa is a province in Burkina Faso, in the Boucle du Mouhoun Region. The capital is Solenzo. It covers 5,888 square kilometers and has 345,749 people (2019 census). The population density is about 58.7 people per square kilometer. About 24,786 people live in towns, while 320,963 live in the countryside.

In 2011 there were 170 primary schools and 13 secondary schools, plus 23 health and social promotion centers, 3 doctors and 87 nurses.

Banwa is a rural province, with most residents living in the countryside. It is divided into six departments.
