Austroglanis is a genus of catfish and the only genus in the family Austroglanididae, which was split from the Bagridae family. All three species in this family are native to southern Africa, specifically South Africa and Namibia, and two of the species are threatened. These fish have three pairs of barbels and lack nasal barbels, with strong spines on the dorsal and pectoral fins. The adipose fin is small. There are three described species in the Austroglanis genus.
