Astragalus varius
Astragalus varius is a flowering plant in the legume family (Fabaceae). It is a perennial subshrub native to parts of Eastern Europe and western Asia, including Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, European Russia, the northern Caucasus, western Siberia, and Kazakhstan. The species may have arisen through a complex pattern of speciation within its group, Dissitiflori. There are several older names for this species (synonyms), such as Astragalus adsurgens, Astragalus ammophilus, Astragalus bohemicus, and Astragalus virgatus.
