Allison TF32 was a turbofan engine proposed by General Motors’ Allison Division in the 1960s. It was named a finalist for the U.S. Navy’s VSX aircraft for anti-submarine warfare in January 1967, but the competition was won by General Electric’s TF34 in early 1968. The information comes from Zigmunt 1997, p. 131.
