Alan Alexander Lowing (born 7 January 1988) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a right-back. He was born in Rutherglen, Scotland.

Lowing began his senior career with Rangers, making his first-team debut in a Scottish League Cup match against Clyde on 20 September 2005 and his league debut a few weeks later against Dunfermline. He also played in Europe for Rangers, making his full European debut in December 2006 against Partizan Belgrade. He extended his contract in 2007 to stay until 2009, and again for six months in 2009, but totalled five first-team appearances for Rangers. He went on loan to Clyde from August 2008 to January 2009, making 19 appearances in all competitions.

In March 2010 he joined East Fife, but injuries limited his time there and his contract was not renewed. In April 2011 he went to Iceland for a trial with Fram Reykjavik and later signed a permanent deal. He then joined Víkingur Reykjavik in 2013 and, after a strong first season, signed a two-year contract in 2014. He left Víkingur in 2017 and retired from football.

Over his career, Lowing made 159 league appearances and scored no goals. Internationally, he represented Scotland at under-19 (2 caps) and under-20 (3 caps) levels.
