Acronicta mansueta, the gentle dagger moth, is a species of moth in the Noctuidae family. It was first described by John Bernhardt Smith in 1897. It was once considered the same species as Acronicta falcula, but in 2011 it was reestablished as a separate species.

Where it lives: This moth is found in western North America, from southern Saskatchewan and southern British Columbia, south to Colorado and California.

Size: The wingspan is about 30–32 millimeters.

When it’s seen: Adults are on the wing from June to September, depending on where they are.
