Alexander Wentworth Kitson (1862–30 December 1938) was the Inspector General of Police in the Gold Coast from 1893 to 1910. He was a British Army officer. As a lieutenant in December 1890, he served with the 7th Battalion, Rifle Brigade (The Prince Consort's Own). He also worked with the Royal Niger Company. In May 1892 he was appointed captain of the 4th Battalion, the Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex Regiment). He became an Honorary Major with the 6th Battalion, the Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex Regiment) in April 1907. Major Kitson was succeeded as head of the Gold Coast Police by E. V. Collins.
