2006 CBA All-Star Game

On January 17, 2006, the Continental Basketball Association held its 40th All-Star Game at Qwest Arena in Boise, Idaho. The Western Division defeated the Eastern Division 119–110, and Randy Holcomb of the Gary Steelheads was named MVP with 20 points and 13 rebounds. David Jackson of the Idaho Stampede led all scorers with 22 points for the Western Conference, while James Thomas scored 17 for the Eastern Conference.

Before the game, the Slam Dunk Contest and the Long Distance Shootout were held. David Jackson won the Slam Dunk Contest, beating Jimmie Hunter of the Gary Steelheads in the final. Alpha Bangura won the Long Distance Shootout with 97 points in the final, beating Jamario Moon of the Albany Patroons.

Athletes.com was the title sponsor of the event. A few players were replaced before the game due to injuries or moves to other teams.
