604 BC
604 BC was a year in the ancient Roman calendar. In Rome it was year 150 Ab urbe condita, meaning “from the founding of the city.” The label 604 BC comes from the later Anno Domini calendar system that became common in Europe during the early medieval period. Many other calendars around the world mark this time in different ways, but 604 BC is the standard historical label used today.
