2023 South American Beach Soccer Evolution League
Paraguay wins the 2023 South American Beach Soccer Evolution League, ending Brazil’s four-year title run.
The competition, officially the CONMEBOL Liga Evolución de Fútbol Playa, was the fifth edition of the South American Beach Soccer League. Ten CONMEBOL countries entered two teams each (their senior and under-20 teams), for a total of 20 teams. The regular season ran from October 11 to November 19, 2023, split into two regional zones: North and South.
- North zone: played in Salinas, Ecuador. Brazil won the North zone, undefeated.
- South zone: played in Luque, Paraguay. Paraguay won the South zone.
The zone winners faced off in the finals, held in São Luís, Brazil, on April 27–28, 2024 at Arena Domingos Leal. The finals consisted of four matches (two for the senior teams and two for the under-20 teams). After three matches, Brazil led 3–0, but heavy rain forced the cancellation of a day of games. Only the three remaining matches were counted, and Paraguay won the series 6–3 to take their second title, breaking Brazil’s streak of four consecutive championships.
Overall, the league featured 43 matches and 325 goals. Paraguay finished as champions; Brazil were runners-up.
